The TV letters game, chat edition: nine letters, and everyone hunts for the longest word at once. A dictionary of nearly 30,000 words checks every answer.

How a game goes

  1. Nine letters show on the overlay, drawn from a real nine-letter word: the full word always exists.
  2. Viewers type their words in chat; accents do not matter, and only each viewer's longest word is kept.
  3. The overlay shows the current record, its length and who holds it, but never the word.
  4. When time is up, the best words show with the longest possible one; 10 points a letter, a 20-point bonus for the first to find the longest.

On the viewers' side

Viewers take part by typing a word made from the letters on screen. Everything happens on the overlay in OBS: no extension to install, nothing to authorise.
