Marble race

A game that plays itself: every viewer in chat takes a marble, and the race rolls down a random course in front of the stream. Nobody has anything to do during the race, everybody has a reason to watch.

How a game goes

  1. Play opens the entries: chat types !marble (or !bille), each viewer gets a marble and a colour, the overlay shows the latest ones in.
  2. The race starts on its own after the time you chose, or when you click Start the race.
  3. The marbles roll down a new course every race: ramps, peg fields, bumpers, funnels. The camera follows the leaders and the standings move live.
  4. The finish shows the winner and the order; the first three get 10, 7 and 5 season points, the others 1. A rematch with the same marbles, or new entries.

On the viewers' side

Viewers take part by typing !marble in chat while entries are open. Everything happens on the overlay in OBS: no extension to install, nothing to authorise.

Settings you can change

  • Marbles at most — 2 to 100: beyond that, further !marble lines are ignored.
  • Automatic start (seconds) — 15 to 300 after the entries open. 0: you start the race yourself.
