Tournament

Song battle

A knockout tournament of songs in chat: 4, 8 or 16 tracks face off two by two, chat votes in every duel, and only one ends champion. The songs come from your list, chat's links, or both. The hub plays no music: you play the tracks.

How a game goes

  1. You set your list in the settings (one song a line, with a link if you like) and start the battle.
  2. Viewers send a YouTube or Spotify link on the page shown on screen (one each, as Twitch chat often refuses links); you take out the ones that do not fit before the draw.
  3. The bracket is drawn at random; in every duel you play both tracks and chat types 1 or 2.
  4. Each duel's winner goes on, up to the final and the champion. Just for fun: no points, no season.

On the viewers' side

Viewers take part by sending a YouTube or Spotify link on the page shown, then typing 1 or 2. Everything happens on the overlay in OBS: no extension to install, nothing to authorise.

Settings you can change

  • Where the songs come from — Your list below, the links viewers send, or both mixed.
  • Your list — One song a line, as you want it shown ("Artist – Title"), with a YouTube or Spotify link if you like (64 at most).
  • Bracket size — How many songs face off; with fewer, the bracket shrinks (4 at least, 2 for a final alone).
  • Time to post (seconds) — 30 to 600. Each viewer sends one link on the page shown on screen (or in chat if it allows links).
  • Vote time per duel (seconds) — 10 to 120: time to play a bit of both tracks.
  • Move on automatically — The next duel opens 6 seconds after the result. Otherwise, click Next duel.
